That's right - it's nearly May, and you know what that means! One a Day in May is BACK! : )

Squigglefly will begin pre-sales for One a Day in May beginning April 1st and running through April 30th.

TSC0330 - SCS

This card is for the Twisted Sistah 0330 challenge on Splitcoast Stampers.  It is my week to give the challenge - which is to make a card with a coffee cup or teacup, lace, pearls and 1 die or punch.  I was going to cut out another cup, but I kept running into snags on this card - silly things kept going wrong - so, only 1 cup popped up!

CCEE CHALLENGE 1213 - 03-29-2012

Jo has been giving the challenges this month - and this week she indicated to do a card centered around a new home/apartment.  I found this image on AOL.  It was actually a free, pre-colored digi, but somewhat washed out.  So, I recolored it and brightened it up a bit and I think it worked out fine - sort of a homey, cottage look!

MMTPT191 - Splitcoast Stampers

This week's Teapot challenge on Splitcoast is to make a card with anything to do with Paris.  The BG is a vintage "tourist map" of the sites to see while visiting Paris and, of course, the top vintage image is of the Eiffel Tower.  Inside the card is a sheet of old vintage postcards from Paris (of course, very tiny, but very cute)!  The destination this week is to each other.  Later in the week, we receive a name of one of the teapotters to mail our card to.

QFTD105 and TSC0323

This card is for two challenges - QFTD105 on SCS and TSC0323 on SCS.  The new QFTD is Korin (sweetnsassystamps) and I CASEd one of her cards (and this stamp was purchased from her store also).  The TSC0323 challenge was given by my sweet friend, Shirley (wannabecre8tive on SCS) to use More Mustard, Real Red and Pink (or something similar) and follow SCS sketch 358.  So, this is what I came up with and I really sort of like this card.

CCEE CHALLENGE 1212 - 03-22-2012

I am loving this new paper by Bo Bunny - which I picked up on a recent trip to St. Louis.  The 6x6 paid is full of my kind of colors.  In fact, I bought 2 of the pads.

This week, the challenge at CCEE is given by Joanne, to focus on the sentiment.  The stamped image was a purchase while in St. Louis as well.  Wait, I had several sacks of purchases - as we visited every craft store in the area - except for one - and it was only open on Saturday from 10-5.  What kind of store is only open 1 day per week?  Geez - and my friend, Shirley, said it was the one store she was really looking forward to shopping.

Can you tell I had an awesome time while in St. Louis and visiting with my sweet friend!!  We stayed in St. Louis 2 nights and shopped 2 days!

This week's teaparty cards are going to Joan in Richmond, Virginia - it's Joan's 67th birthday.  Joan is the mother of fellow teapotter - scrappinmama72inpa - Emily.  Joan is having several medical issues and, until recently, the relationship between Emily and Joan has been quite strained, but they have worked out all problems and are celebrating their reunion as mother and daughter.

There's Magic in the Air - 03-19-2012 - Egg Hunt

Well, it's time for another challenge at There's Magic in the Air (the challenge blog for Paper Cupcakes).  The challenge this week is to make a CAS - clean and simple card - with a lot of white space.  As I am not the best at CAS cards - 2/3 of my main panel is white and a large part of my image panel is white - and I hope that counts!!  I wanted to keep adding "stuff" - but I held off!  I used one of Nina's new images from Paper Cupcakes titled Egg Hunt.  Is this not a very, very cute image - perfect for all those Easter cards you need to do!  Please join us at There's Magic in the Air for the challenge starting this evening - and I'm sure you can find lots of darling images at the Paper Cupcakes shop!!  We look forward to seeing you!!
